Individual sports are different than team sports. In team sports, competition is between the teams whereas individual sports are the sports where an individual competes with another. Olympics is the most popular and wide platform where different individuals participate and showcase their talent. Individual sports are much liked by people all over the world.
One of the unique and highly graceful of these sports is figure skating in which participants are required to bring the body in a poised position and glide over ice wearing ice skates. The uniqueness of this sport lies in the elegant and captivating way in which the participants slide across the stage of ice making it look so simple, effortless and charming.
However, it takes years of practice and hard work for figure skaters to reach to a point where their skating looks amazingly painless. It is believed that figure skating is a very feminine sport nevertheless; many male individuals also take up this sport. It originated in Russia. Some researches show that the first skate was made with bones.
Figure skating is also done in a couple. One observes perfect blending of class and beauty and grace in this sport of elegance and sophistication. It is known to be an expensive sport. One should be athletic to take it up as a hobby or as a profession. It makes your heart muscles stronger and gives your body a perfect tone. For many, the highlight of this sport is the jumps that they take in the air. Watching and performing figure skating is entirely a fascinating experience. Seo India

I think no one of us can deny the fact that they have times when they are totally free. These are those times when there is nothing to do. I agree with the quotation “empty mind is the devil’s workshop”. Since every one of us has these moments, the best thing to do is to engage in some kind of positive activity. By positive I mean an activity that can do you good, it can be any mind challenging puzzle or activity.

Some of good activities that you can do in your leisure time are chess, Uno, Scrabble or any other physical or sports activity. The first activity that I have mentioned here is that of chess. Chess is considered to be the game of extreme mental exercise. During any point in the game, your mind is fully active, predicting the next move of your opponent. Uno is a light game, something that you can do with your friends whenever you are free.
Scrabble is also a light game but the good part is that the vocabulary of all the players increases. The point that I want to make is that though all of us have pure leisure moments the good part is that we can make the best use of it.
Other engaging activities include any physical sports. Physical activities not only sharpen your mind but also at the same time give you mental toughness. Physical activity is highly recommended for both young and adults to keep them healthy and fit.
The bottom line is that since leisure times are inevitable; why not spend them in things that can benefit us. Seo India
